What is a computer network?
A connected set of computers.
Connection can be wired (most commonly network cable) or wireless. Computers on a network can share resources such as internet access, printers and access to files.
What is network security?
Hardware, software and configuration that protects your network from the likes of threats in the form of viruses, attackers, unauthorised access and data loss.
Security can stop these from entering and spreading on your network.
For your end point security ,we recommend Drivelock…more about this later in the month.
What is computer virus?
A virus is a type of malicious software (malware) designed to replicate and make copies of itself on any drive connected to your computer.
When a computer has a virus, it can slow down and may wait in silence for external triggering before running rampant.
What causes a computer to crash?
Generally, the most likely reason for a crash is due to an error in the operating system (OS).
The OS provides a connection between applications and hardware, enabling system resources to be shared between different programs.
The hardware components must also function correctly.
When these parts reach the end of their lifespan, become too hot or are soiled they can develop faults and cause the machine to crash.
